When I spotted this pair of boys pinstripe pirate shorts a while back the first thing I thought was “how cute would those be if they were a girls skirt with embroidered flowers instead of boys shorts” (still adjusting to being a mom of a boy I guess).
While the skirt refashioning got finished shortly after their purchase, I just finished the embroidery up last night while watching Project Runway. The juxtaposition of the flowers and the skulls was exactly what I had in mind.
