Mmm, it looks perfect! I have harvested three small watermelons, with less success. Two were nearly all green. The third was mostly ripe, but not perfectly ripe. Still good. I can’t figure out how to know when they are ready, so I guess I’ll just leave the rest of them until they are falling off the vine.
Here’s how we figured out when to pick it. The plant died so I figured I’d pull it off to check it out. Wasn’t expecting it to actually be ripe and delicious. Pure luck.
