Wonder Woman

by This is Carrie on October 17, 2008

When I pulled out last year’s Wonder Woman costume to do a few fixes before sending it off to be borrowed by a friend, I realized once again how much I love that costume. It’s a much deeper love and connection than just feeling good about how well it turned out.

This is me (age 3)wearing the Wonder Woman costume my mom made me. Man, I LOVED that costume. To see Princess share the same passion (she just HAD to wear her costume again once it was all fixed and really wanted to trash this year’s Halloween costume plan in favor of being Wonder Woman again) makes my heart happy.

And when I found the exact pattern my mom used so long ago, I just had to have it. Though it would have been more helpful if it had showed up about a year earlier.

That is a great costume – I have one daughter who is boycotting princesses so maybe wonder woman will be for her. Just not this year – If I start thinking about it now we will do it next year

What a great photo and how cool is it that you found that very pattern?
