One of our favorite traditions has begun.
This year we added “Olive the Other Reindeer” and “When Santa Fell to Earth”.

and…?

I am glad you have Olive the other reindeer, it’s one of my faves.

We added some too, but now I have wrapped them up so I am not sure what they are, but one is by Kate DeCamillo…..it looked good.

We started a tradition similar to this when it was first posted on Tales. It’s become one of my favorite things about Christmas. We just added “Great Joy” to our collection this year. I think that might be the one that Kage mentioned above. The illustrations are beautiful.

Saw this on Tales also and started doing it. Instead of wrapping the books, I made slips of paper with the books on them and just put them in our Advent calendar. Seems to be working really well for us along with a small ornament for each night. Thanks for the idea – it is an awesome one.

Oh, we do this too! One of my favorite things my mother always did was pack away the Christmas books with the decorations. That way, they were a special treat and a surprise when the boxes came out of storage. We’ve just added a pop-up book that the kids are nuts about!
