Random Free Stuff

by This is Carrie on December 5, 2008

I have always been a terrible hoarder of sewing and crafting supplies. In the past few years since I have discovered the world of refashioning, it has only gotten worse, seeing the potential in even the tiniest scrap. But I need to scale back. If anyone out there is interested in the following free random stuff, make a comment below and make sure you state which “lot” you would like. If there is more than one person interested, I will randomly pick a “winner”. I will be happy to pay for the shipping just knowing it is going to a good home.

Lot 1: A pile of random hawaiian muumuu fabrics. Some synthetic some cotton. Lots of bright colors. Pieces are approx 8″x 4″. Perfect for hideous birds of your own.

Lot 2: Scraps of elastic, lace and ribbon. Some new, many vintage. Pieces range from inches to many yards. Honestly, you will never see a more random mix.

I need to purge more, but it’s hard to let go. Baby steps.

UPDATE
Random winners: Laura wins lot #1 and Lorchick wins Lot #2!

I’m just getting started in the refashioning world and I’m addicted. But trying to build a stash of scraps from scratch isn’t the easiest task. I promise you, they would find a VERY good home with me!

if the second lot wasn’t taken, i’ll offer a home for it.

I love the ribbons! It is very generous of you to offer these as gifts to your readers!

I’d love the ribbons and elastics. You know with me it’s going to a good home 🙂

i’m interested in lot #2… with a 1 yr old DD it’s easy to find a home for little bits and pieces in my many ventures into Refashion World!
I actually have a draw-style giveaway on my blog as well, although you’re trying to purge, but you never know, some of it could be stuff you’re NOT trying to purge *lol* and wouldn’t it be funny if we won each other’s draws… then it turns into a swap, pretty much! lol.

I would love lot 1. They would be going to the loud quilt I am making. All the best and brightest colors on one quilt. Don’t forget to wear your sunglasses.

Throw my name in the pile for either lot. Thanks for sharing!

the trim would be great for accenting dresses and skirts and the fabric would be perfect for pockets on the dresses or little birds (sorta like yours) as part of a mobile i have had in my head for a while. i want to join wardrobe refashion but havent had the courage. thanks for inspiring me!

I would be happy to add either lot to my stash. My stash definitely needs more feminine ideas. Thanks for the opportunity. Take care, Laura
