Making Stuff: Bum Covers

by This is Carrie on January 14, 2009

Not nearly as great as Francie Pants (which are AWESOME by the way), but we got a couple of active girls in this house who love to wear skirts so we need a large stack of bum covers. These were made from a thrift store t-shirt.

They look AT LEAST as cool as Francie Pants, and I’m heading to Savers this morning to look for some t-shirts to make some.

You are such an inspiration.

I love making these also. I use my daughters knit pants that are too small and just cut off the legs and make them into shorts! Easy peasy and I get to recycle.

What a great idea! Is there a pattern for these?

Do you have a tutorial on making these bum covers? They are so cute and I have 5 grandaughters that love skirts and dresses. They need some of these bum covers. I love so much of your work. Thank you for sharing.

Sorry, I haven’t done a tutorial on how to make these bum covers. I hope someday to have the time to make all sorts of tutorials, but when time is short, I just make.
