Spring Clean Your Sewing Machine

by This is Carrie on March 12, 2009

During my last sewing project, I noticed my machine wasn’t sounding quite right. I got out the oil and brush and promptly realized, I had no idea where to oil or brush.
Lucky for me, I came across a link from Craftzine on How to Spring Clean Your Sewing Machine (with a follow up post on How to Oil Your Machine) I learned. I did. And the machine now runs smooth and quiet.
Thank You.

Thank you so much! I never know where to put the oil, and I hate having to ask my husband to do it every time. He’s very mechanically-minded and says that you just put the oil where there’s moving parts. That makes sense to someone who can rebuild a car engine, but not to me 🙂 I can’t wait to oil my machine now!
