I spent this last weekend at the Startup Princess Academy at Disneyland. The amount of information and inspiration I glean from the successful, creative and fun women I meet at Startup Princess business & networking events continues to amaze me (although it shouldn’t by now). September’s Touchpoint Conference is already on my calendar.

Here’s a sneak peak at the front: Yes. that is my self-portrait–a self-portrait I have because my mother helped me keep a journal when I was five. I totally remember that dress I’m wearing. It was denim, Jordache I think, with little southwestern metal “buckles” on the belt. I loved that dress.

Princess was an amazing traveling companion and conversationalist. I no longer wish to travel with any child under the age of 6. Watching her soak in all the sites and sounds of the city was a joy. We visited Daddy’s school and the Upper West side making sure to hit an old favorite, Mill Korean, for some Bim Bim Bop in a Hot Stone Pot. Princess discovered a new favorite food: Miso Soup. She downed two full bowls. Who woulda thought?photo via Columbia website

The zoo wasn’t the only place we ran across amazing animals in Central Park. We met a few dozen dogs and their “pack walkers” chillin’ at the park. Bernice, the St Bernard was our favorite.
