Making Stuff: Tie Dye Shirts

by This is Carrie on August 13, 2009

Picked up an unopened Tie Dye Kit at a recent “Give & Take” night a while back. Yesterday the girls and I got our hands dirty and gave it a try.  It was my first time using soda ash and really strong dyes and it really put my previous Rit experiences to shame.

Shirts look awesome! I really need to get some ambition and do this with my kids next week…I have only used Ritz dyes, never soda ashe, but they do look more vivid!

It is so fun and addicting to play with those awsome dyes. Too bad mine are in a box in storage somewhere.

Your's turned out great and hope your hands come clean quickly.
