Making Stuff: Huge Flower Headbands

by This is Carrie on September 21, 2009

At the very last minute, we wanted to add a little something homemade to a birthday gift for our neighbor’s little girl. We picked up some stretchy headbands at Target and added some silk flowers, vintage buttons and fabric scraps from the stash for some fantastically large floral headbands.
I’ll let you guess which headband was designed by Princess for the “Fancy Nancy” birthday girl.

Those are gorgeous! 🙂 Do you mind me asking where you got the silk flowers? The ones I find are always sooo fake looking, but your are lovely. 🙂

This is something I never thought that you would make. They look better on your girls than on newborns.

Amanda, All the flowers are ones I picked up from a floral supplier when I used to design little girls party dresses. The wholesaler is: http://www.lubinflowers.com/

My favorite floral retailer is
http://tinseltrading.com . They have GORGEOUS flowers.
