Making Stuff: Newborn Wrap Dress

by This is Carrie on October 30, 2009

In the Bag: Another one of my favorite baby shower gifts to make is a long dress made with a tiny newborn wrap shirt. Easy & pretty all at the same time.

For this version, I dyed a long sleeve wrap shirt for the December baby and used a gorgeous piece of floral silk (pre washed) from an estate sale.

So pretty and elegant! I make something similar, but the skirt is a bit shorter–better to see those chubby baby legs! 🙂

I loved all the things that you made, especially that portable fabric high chair. What a neat idea! However, I'm still going to have to get used to the onesies made from dark colored concert T's.

This is lovely. I'm looking forward to when you post the tutorial – I'll definitely make one. Meanwhile, off to make a T shirt onesie …
