When I told the girls we would be going to watch their cousin’s high school football game, they moaned and groaned.When they spied the cheerleaders, the game became bearable.When they were invited down on the field during the 4th quarter to cheer for the winning team, football became the most exciting sport ever.

Last years Dana Point 10K Turkey Trot was my very first running race…ever. One year and nine races later, I improved my time by almost 13 minutes with a finish time of 50:26. I almost feel comfortable calling myself an athlete.
