That is awesome! What great kids. You could also encourage the parents to put themselves on the National Marrow Donor Registry. Your nephew? might not need a marrow transplant but so many people do and you never know who might be a good match. Sometimes all they need is platelets or plasma too. My husband and I put ourselves on the list 5 years ago at a blood drive because I couldn't donate blood that day. 2 years ago just before Christmas we get a package saying he's a match for a man with acute myologenous lukemia, last summer (not this year but 2008) we drove up to NC to Duke and he donated bone marrow to this total stranger and as far as we know saved his life. It was an amazing experience, cost us nothing but some time and him a bit of pain and saved someone's life.
