Christmas Recap: Tubing with Grandpa

by This is Carrie on January 11, 2010

As has become tradition, Grandpa took the family tubing (or what we like to call “lazy man’s tubing”).

We were happy when Pumpkin worked up the courage to try it this year.

We were surprised when Baby Brother wanted to do it to.

The staff said there is no age restriction, they just have to go down by themselves.

That’s when I asked if “responsible parents” push their 20 month old kid down the long hill by themselves.

Apparently, in Utah, they do.

Last year’s video of the tubing runs can be found HERE.

It’s at Snow Basin Resort up Ogden Canyon. It’s pretty fantastic.

this is right outside of park city, right? i took my daughter there when she was about 5, it was so much fun. i love that photo of your baby boy. we have a 23 month old, and i don’t know if i would have dared to send him down alone. kudos to you for being so brave! and to him for not crying! <3

It’s actually at Snow Basin up Ogden Canyon. I am sure a few of the resorts have these groomed tubing hills. Baby brother actually went down more times than Pumpkin (who’s 4). She had had enough after about 7 runs.
