Making Stuff: Diner Waitress Gift

by This is Carrie on January 11, 2010

As a gift for one of the Utah cousins, I made a diner waitress imaginative play kit complete with handmade apron, notebook and pen (for taking order), some dishes, felt breakfast food from etsy, and personalized, laminated diner menus.

Pumpkin kept saying “She’s gonna love it mom, because I love it.”

That is fantastic, my kids are constantly taking orders, what a great gift. The food is gorgeous.

Isn’t that food gorgeous! I had planned on making it myself, but I always plan a few too many handmade gifts than I have time for at Christmas so I delegated that part of the gift out to etsy. So glad I did.

I love it, but I think I miss that speckled waffle shirt in my kids clothes rotation more. Pumpkin is wearing Princesses from a few seasons ago….I wish I had bought a few sizes of it…

The bananas!? brilliant!
