If you ever decide to run a relay, food, transportation, & hydration are all very important things to think about, but honestly, it’s your outfits that will, in the end, make all the difference in how you run the race.
Team Sparkle sponsored sparkle running skirts for the whole team. The captain’s plan was to have everyone wear them during their last leg and then over the finish line. Kelly and I had to warn everyone that once they got their hands on a Team Sparkle skirt, they weren’t going to want to take it off. And boy were we right. The “Eat. Blog. Run.” team sparkled on every leg of the race for 36 hours, glistening in the sunshine, reflecting in the moonlight, bringing joy to all we passed by.
And the socks (or as we liked to call them, our funky compression leg warmers)? We had Kelly to thank for the socks. Carefully picked out for each person to coordinate with their skirt, I couldn’t think of anything more perfect to top off our “look”.
And finally, for the finish, our team captain, Marie made us team shirts (with a little help from Hanes and YUDU)
