Making Stuff: Crocheted Doily Tank

by This is Carrie on August 3, 2010

A cheap, basic tank becomes super special with a beautiful, hand crocheted doily attached.  The best part – I didn’t even have to crochet it.  Fab thrift Store find, $1.

That’s really cute! I’m glad you didn’t have to crochet it. It looks like a lot of work went into it! In fact, it looks vintage. You were lucky to find it at such a good price!

What a great idea. I have several crocheted doilies that my husbands grandmother made, i did not know what to do with them, but I still wanted to keep them. Right now they are being stored under the guest-bed, not a very good place. I think wearing them would be a great idea, if Grandma Ruth was still alive, she would be happy to know they were being used. Thanks for the inspiration.
