NYC 2010 Recap: Times Square

Each day after camp, Princess was treated to more NYC adventures.  The ferris wheel in the Times Square Toys R Us was a big highlight especially since they all REALLY wanted to ride in the Barbie car and as luck would have it, they did. Princess said it was an answer to a prayer.

Making Stuff: Girls Skirt from Women’s Skirt Refashion

Some refashions are complex. Some are embarassingly simple. This thrifted women’s mini-skirt only needed to be taken in on each side but with it’s patchworked design and pre-smocked waist, it looks like I might have spent a lot of time on it. I’m tricky like that.

Making Stuff: Crocheted Doily Tank

A cheap, basic tank becomes super special with a beautiful, hand crocheted doily attached.  The best part – I didn’t even have to crochet it.  Fab thrift Store find, $1.
