Making Stuff: Vintage Ruffle Dress Refashion

by This is Carrie on October 12, 2010

I spotted this amazing vintage dress maxi dress at my favorite vintage & thrift store way back in the spring.  Because of it’s price, I left it there on the rack only to obsess about it and it’s rows and rows of white and silver lace ruffles for months after.  On another visit to the store (on a 75% off day nonetheless), there it sat still.

I knew it was meant to be mine.  Or at least mine to refashion for Princess.

With the length to fit a full grown adult, but a neck opening to fit a child, I’m not sure who this dress was originally made for. But it made it a cinch to refashion.  Just a little taking in at the chest and a big chop at the hem.

I’d totally be obsessed with that dress too. You have some very lucky girls.

I really love your site.. Pleasant colors & theme.

Did you create this site yourself? Please reply back as
I’m planning to create my own personal blog and
want to learn where you got this from or exactly what the theme is named.
Cheers!
