Making Stuff: Crocheted Doily Bowl

by This is Carrie on December 21, 2010

The crocheted snowflake ornaments wasn’t the only Savers holiday DIY project that spoke to me.  Turning a thrifted doily into bowl is a brilliant idea for anytime of the year.

Once again, my local Savers thrift store did not let me down, supplying me with the perfect doily for less than $2.  Now I just need to figure out what to fill it with.

Check out the tutorial HERE.

P.S. On the recommendation of my mother (who has stiffened numerous crochet projects over the years) I used Elmers school glue instead of fancy fabric stiffener.
