Making Stuff: Crochet Heart Garland

by This is Carrie on February 1, 2011

Finished it just in time to ring in February (even though I was planning on having it done for February 2010).

Pattern: Crochet Heart Garland from Skip to My Lou

Yarn: Stitch Nation Bamboo Ewe in Lipstick

Hook: US H8 5.00mm

**I followed the revised instructions for round.  Inbetween each heart I chained 20. To attach the hearts, I used a single crochet (which seemed to help the heart hang a little better) with a chain 7 inbetween.

I love this.. this is WAY cuter than another crocheted heart garland that I saw online a couple weeks ago.. I’m totally making this.

I have to say, I am impressed. I only have 3 kids (my littlest born just a week after yours) and I can’t find enough time to finish my sewing projects, much less crochet and run/jog! Way to go =)

This turned out soooo cute! I am trying to teach myself to crochet – maybe when I learn I can make one of these!

Very pretty! The boys and I have started making paper hearts with my new heart-shaped punch, with plans to string them and hang them over the mantle like this. But I’m sure it won’t compare to your beautiful crocheted hearts. They look so soft, too!
