When I told Todd about my big dreams of “refashioning” Princess’s vintage Schwinn into a beautiful two-toned aqua bike with a Heather Bailey floral oil cloth covered banana seat, his first thought was that we needed to practice on the old, pink, kitty bike first, turning it into the perfect bike for our 2 year old boy.
Picture the pink bike as one that was ridden by two little girls and left outside to weather the elements for five years. Not only was it pink, it was dirty, rusty, and otherwise trashed. It was the perfect collaboration project for Todd & I in the days leading up to the birth of The Baby.
