by This is Carrie on February 16, 2011

I wasn’t sick and the babysitter didn’t cancel. The delivery was quite a labor intensive process requiring crazy […]

Supercross Goes Pink

by This is Carrie on February 13, 2011

As long as we live in Orange County, I think it is safe to say that attending the “Supercross Goes Pink” race at Angels Stadium will be a family tradition. After seeing the enthusiasm of the spectators at last year’s race in support of the Susan G Komen Foundation and breast cancer awareness, we decided […]

Unexpected Returns

by This is Carrie on February 9, 2011

Receiving these handmade necklaces from Andrea at Asayo’s Wish, the organization that delivered our t-shirt dresses to an orphanage in Uganda, was such an amazing surprise.  The hand-rolled, paper beads were made by a woman from the village where the orphanage was located. The small gift prompted me to take a browse through Asayo’s Wish […]

Making Stuff: Valentine Sock Animals

by This is Carrie on February 7, 2011

The socks in the Target $1 section catch my eye every holiday.  Not because I want them on my kids feet, but because I want to turn them into sock monkeys.  For the first time, I broke down and bought a couple pairs of Valentines Day socks last week.  One pair was turned into a […]
