Starting the School Year Off Organized

by This is Carrie on August 16, 2011

As much as I love my iphone, I am a die hard paper calendar user.  I’ve been using the same school-year planner/calendar for the past 5 years.  It’s kind of fun to look back on them to see what kinds of things filled my days each year.  I consider those old calendars keepsakes.

This year, Blue Sky sent me a package of “household planning products” to test drive.  At first, the larger sized calendar/planner they sent put me off, but now that I’ve used it for a month, I realize a family of 6 warrants the extra paper planning space and I’m in love (they also carry smaller sizes).  It’s like they crawled into my scattered mom brain and figured out exactly what I needed to stay organized.  And my 2011-2012 calendar/planner keepsake is going to be my cutest one yet.

The grocery shopping checklist, the “don’t forget to” door hangers and the “do, call, buy” pad fulfill my every paper list-making dream.

Blue Sky Home Series collaboration with designer Suzy Jack can be found at Target until mid September or right HERE.

**Blue Sky provided me with product to review. However, my opinions on the product are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive sentiments towards Blue Sky or their products.

I thought I would never go paperless, but I did a few years ago and I kind of love it. Especially that all my calendars sinc and are color coded…..but that system looks fun!

I love my iPhone too, but I have to have a paper calender. What style name/version is yours in the picture? I can’t find it on the website.

Thanks!

Just got word back from the marketing director at Blue Sky and she said, “that item has been particularly popular and is sold out on the website. It is likely available in some Target Stores. This was a limited edition line (although Blue Sky is hopeful that it will be back again next summer)!”

I’m so sorry! But check your local Target if you have one!

I still go back to “paper” organizing. Although I love technology, I love the ability to actually cross off something from my list after being done. Their products look cute and colorful!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who really like paper. I love, love , love my iPhone, but I miss my paper calendar. As a family of 5 with 3 ages 3 1/2 and 2 1/2 twins, I need all the organizational help I can get!

I’d also like to know the “make and model” of your calendar. I looked at the Blue Sky website and didn’t see it listed anywhere. You mentioned “test driving” a couple of their organization products; maybe it’s a product that hasn’t yet been released to the public? Anyway, it looks exactly like the kind of agenda I need.
