Gingham Dog & Calico Cat Birthday Party: The Games

by This is Carrie on October 6, 2011

The only other request Pumpkin made (besides the boys being dogs and the girls being cats) for her birthday party was a Cupcake Walk.  Simple chalk drawings on the ground, some KidsBop on the ipod speaker system, and a couple dozen of the cutest (and most delicious) mini cupcakes from Meringue Bake Shop and her request was fulfilled.

We also played “Pin the Tail” on a homemade poster where I tried to recreate the characters from the Gingham Dog & Calico Cat.

The most popular game of all?  Eating “dog food” and “cat food” (kix and cocoa puffs) out of dog/cat bowls.  No hands!

To keep the kids busy, we also had a meow and bark contest and a rousing game of Red Light, Green Light “on all fours”.
