Making Stuff: Skinny Slacks for Big Brother {Men’s Pants Refashion}

by This is Carrie on December 9, 2011

Since the advent of the Slim Slack refashioning tutorial, I just can’t bear to buy boys pants (other than jeans) off the rack anymore.  The selection of men’s pants at the thrift store is always so amazing, I think I have a stack of a half dozen pairs just waiting to get attacked with scissors.

I fell in love with the pattern on these old, men’s, polyester slacks and the price tag: $1.99 at my local thrift store.

Our local thrift stores are pathetic, and way overcharge for used clothing. Love how these pants turned out though. Too cute!

Putting in the front fly would stop me from trying to do boy’s pants.

Cutest. Pants. EVER. I love little boys in slim pants! And these are downright stylin’.

These pants are so cute. I wish I had boys so I could try out the pattern.

Found you site today and i love the pants. I decided i wanted to learn how to sew so I could make my boys slacks. I had the idea to use thrift store pants (thats where i get mine) and you already did the hard part for me! thanks so much!
