Another dress from the thrift store with so much promise. STEPS 1 . Shorten skirt about 4″ (I took it off at the skirt waist instead of the hem). 2. Replace “dead” elastic at waist with new elastic. 3. Cut off sleeves and re-hem. 4. Pair with belt. Find more of my women’s refashions HERE.

Nothing makes better “dress up” dresses than thrifted prom dresses from the 70′s and 80′s. They are more durable, more interesting, more afordable and they’ll fit kids that are bigger than size 3T.
