A little over a week ago, I ran in what might have been the funnest. race. EVER. 12 bloggers, 200 miles in 36 hours. We may not have been the fastest (in fact we may have come in third to last just barely beating out one 2-man team), but boy did we enjoy the journey.

It was the first off-road triathlon Todd & I had ever done together so there was a little part of me that hoped I’d come out of the water before him. I had to count on him having a small panic attack somewhere during the swim, but it was possible. After the swim, there was [...]

I hadn’t been to a marathon just to watch since I happened upon the NYC marathon finish over eight years ago. This weekend, a couple friends and I parked ourselves at mile 3 of the LA marathon to cheer on our Team Sparkle girls. Honestly, I can’t think of something more motivating and inspiring than [...]

My next big running adventure is set for the first weekend in May. When I bought my very first pair of real running shoes one year ago, I never imagined I’d end up here–three weeks away from running my first marathon, nursing sore knees from a 20 mile training run, and not so much worried about if I can finish, but worried about my strategy for finishing in [...]

Even the snowy, cold weather and high altitude didn’t keep me from my marathon training (no time to spare at this point). I just imagined I was Rocky training to fight the Russian and the snow was just there to make me tougher.

Last years Dana Point 10K Turkey Trot was my very first running race…ever. One year and nine races later, I improved my time by almost 13 minutes with a finish time of 50:26.I almost feel comfortable calling myself an athlete.

It’s a unique mountain biking & trail running team adventure race with obstacles, ending with a crawl through an infamous mud pit with your buddy. With my new partner this year, we bested last year’s time by twelve minutes, coming in 14th out of 54 in our age division. But, the mud wrestling wasn’t nearly [...]
