The second Christmas dress made from my thrift store tablecloth finds was a little more involved, but I still cut the ruffles on the bias and saved a lot of time hemming.Both dresses are long enough to be worn next year too.

I’ve been making stuff, but it’s top secret until after the holidays. I’ve also been making reusable fabric bags to wrap my gifts. Thanks to my own foresight–buying fabric after last Christmas at 90% off–it’s been just about as cheap and just the same amount of work as traditional wrapping paper.
