As a gift for one of the Utah cousins, I made a diner waitress imaginative play kit complete with handmade apron, notebook and pen (for taking order), some dishes, felt breakfast food from etsy, and personalized, laminated diner menus. Pumpkin kept saying “She’s gonna love it mom, because I love it.”

Inspired by the kids at the Waldorf Harvest Faire, Princess asked Santa for stilts this year. She quickly learned it’s not an easy skill to master, but her determination slowly started paying off as she practiced all Christmas Day.

In my true fashion of not choosing an overtly Christmas fabric for the Christmas jammies, I chose sock monkey flannel this year. A thrifted Little Vogue pajama pattern and lace trim picked up at an estate sale ages ago gave them a “traditional” touch.
