I have a question.
Why does our Ice Cream Truck’s jingle include the tune “Oh Come All Ye Faithful”? I think I may have heard “Jingle Bells” mixed in there too. It’s kind of strange.

Uh, “O Come All Ye Faithful Ice Cream Addicts” maybe?
My sister never lets the grandchildren get ice cream from the ice cream man. You may not know this, but all ice cream men/women are pedophiles and drug dealers, and very possibly murderers.
That’s pretty funny…
But remember, you live in a neighborhood where the house next door has fake grass. Anything goes over there, I think…:)
kathi- I like your interpretation. And you can tell you sister we might be single-handedly funding the ice cream men/women posers.:)
I am pretty positive that an ice cream truck drives by our house every single day. When I was a kid, it came by once every few weeks which made it so special. Usually I hear “Fur Elise” or “Pop Goes the Weasel.”
While doing some hymn research stuff for church I found out that “How Firm a Foundation” was once set to the Adeste Fideles tune (O Come all Ye Faithful). I guess during the 19th century, the tune was set to many texts.
Not that any of this has anything to do with ice cream trucks, just a fun fact. I’ve heard our ice cream trucks out here play jingle bells and o come all ye faithful as well. Who knows.
