We spent the MLK weekend in the country with some very fun people who absolutely spoiled us all rotten. We spent time birdwatching, hammock swinging, and egg gathering during what had to have been the most beautiful weekend in January…ever.

Not nearly as great as Francie Pants (which are AWESOME by the way), but we got a couple of active girls in this house who love to wear skirts so we need a large stack of bum covers. These were made from a thrift store t-shirt.

My first attempt and crochet amigurumi. I only had one small problem during the final head attachment. Doh!I thought it would be a nice little baby gift so I sacrificed one of Baby Brothers little toys so I could put a small rattle into it (and I reattached the head).

A patchwork circle skirt has been on my “to make” list since 2007. Since piecing drives be batty, it hasn’t made it to the top of the list yet. But I had a lucky day at the antique/thrift store and found this skirt–the look without the work.
