Woodland Faerie Party: The Invitations

by This is Carrie on August 31, 2010

This vintage fairy art was $2 well spent.  I first used it to create the invitations. With a touch of glitter, the hand-delivered scroll invites set the stage for a magical party. Find more Woodland Faerie Party posts HERE.

Making Stuff: Doll Diapers

by This is Carrie on August 30, 2010

Against my better judgment, I let the girls purchase Baby Alive dolls with their birthday money.  In about 2.5 seconds, they had both soaked the one disposable diaper included with each doll and were begging for more diapers for their naked doll tushies. 2.5 seconds after that, I found this tutorial for baby doll cloth […]

by This is Carrie on August 28, 2010

On our way out of town, we made a stop at the Cedar Breaks National Monument Honestly though, nature is way more fun to look at as you’re whizzing past on a bike.

Brian Head Vacation Recap: The Stars

by This is Carrie on August 25, 2010

Even without the shooting stars created by the Perseids meteor shower (which just happened to coincide with our vacation), the clear, night sky atop Brian Head Peak would’ve still been amazing.

Brian Head Vacation Recap: The Resort

by This is Carrie on August 24, 2010

A ski lift to the top of the mountain made for a great day of riding. The resort’s Mountain Bike Park included all sorts of fun freestyle elements. Todd had a great time trying out the jumps and drops found throughout the downhill trails. And depending who’s asking, I may or may not have ridden […]

Fourteen Years of Wedded Bliss

by This is Carrie on August 23, 2010

The truth is, we might have forgotten about this year’s anniversary all together if it hadn’t been for a thoughtful card sent by my sister-in-law. If I could high-five that 18 year old girl in the picture, I would. She picked a good one. (I would also like to tell her to take care of […]
