Tri Training: Garmin Forerunner 405

Although I won’t be racing another triathlon until next spring, this Mother’s Day gift, “loaded with serious training features” will help me start training more effectively now (or once I figure out all it’s bells and whistles).

Making Stuff: Mod Flower Dress

One of the souvenirs I brought back from NYC was this 70’s dress kit from a Long Island City (and incredibly stinky) thrift store.I couldn’t quite picture myself pulling off the double-knit polyester mod look. But I knew my six year old could rock it. Flower pocket came pre-embroidered.Kit included zipper, thread, interfacing, etc.Sweet.
