Six capelets for the children’s theater performance of “Anything Goes.”
I figure if I stay behind the sewing machine, it’ll keep me from becoming one of “those stage moms.”

I hear ya! I’ve been fixing/altering costumes for our children’s theater production so I don’t have to be backstage with 90+ kids!

I definitely got a reprieve from the backstage because I helped sew instead. Much easier for me to accomplish with a 21 month old little boy attached to me.
Is this Princesses latest theatrical endeavor? fun!

Both the girls got to be in the show together. At age four, Pumpkin was the youngest in the cast and was so fun to watch.
Hi!
I love your website and I´ve been reading it regularly ever since you were a guest mom at Designmom:)
The capes you made are so beautifull! I´ve been looking for a cape pattern for a while, but haven´t found one – would you be willing to share yours with us readers?
Thank you so much for all your inspirataional posts and ideas!
Best,
Eva from Iceland

The pattern that was given to me to use was McCall’s M4703. I prefer a more circular cape the flares and falls over the shoulder than one that rounds over the shoulder for range of movement and you can get some weird shoulder fitting issues. But, I used what the costumer provided and they came out pretty cute. Good luck and thanks for reading!
