What an adorable smile!
Ooh, we had a missed tooth fairy as well a while ago. She made up for it though by leaving an extra generous treat the following night.
Aaah! She’s so grown up!
We have a Pretend Mailbox fail sometimes. Something about how mail delivery is sometimes slow, the magical unicorns live all the way in the Magical Forest which is really far away, etc. etc.

Love the stories parents come up with. It’s nice to know I’m not the only parent who messes up.
Carrie, I totally did that with Jeffrey. I felt HORRIBLE! Later on, as I was making the bed I magically *found* the money that was missing from under the pillow. Mom FAIL.
I think the tooth fairy STILL owes me.
OMG! I’m so glad I’m not alone on that one. My husband and I did that to my daughter a few weeks ago. We remembered to tell her to put it under her pillow, but the “tooth fairy” forgot to replace it with something. Oops! She wasn’t too bummed, it was tooth #8 in a matter of months!! She figured he was busy. LOL! He finally remembered the next night. 😉
I’ve totally done that! To both of my kids actually. We just say that the tooth fairy must have had a lot of houses to go to with kids who lost their first tooth and those are more important than the 2nd and so forth!
