When I go thrift store shopping, I like to look for pieces of clothing made from interesting and intricate fabric that looks like it already has a handmade element to it. That’s why this women’s sundress caught my eye during a Christmas Break trip to Savers. It’s made of beautiful pieces of lightweight cotton patchworked together, which means I get credit for making a patchwork dress without any of the work. 🙂 And the colors. I love the colors.

I left the dress with it’s original length. Partly because I’m lazy and didn’t want to hem it, but mostly because I love maxi sundresses on little girls.
The top part of the original bodice was the perfect amount of fabric to create sleeves. And what little girl wouldn’t love the addition of a (pre-made) crochet flower.
