The kids had a blast exploring the new “Grossology” exhibit at the Discovery Science Museum. I tried not to be too grossed out watching them ride down the gastrointestinal slide, crawl through the rectal tube and climb the zit and scab wall.
But kids, they love this kind of stuff: playing “Urine: the Game”, the “Burp Machine” , and “Gas Attack” pin ball (all in the name of education of course!). My favorite part of the day was watching Pumpkin play “guess the smell”, get totally grossed out smelling feet, anus and armpit smells but then watching her go back for more!
And what kid doesn’t love to make slime? Here’s the recipe they used, but I prefer to make the elmer’s glue version since the ingredients are a little easier to come by.

I don’t understand what it is with all the gross stuff 🙂 Have you seen the book about it? I am not sure what it is called but kids love it!
The book is called _Oh Yuck! The Encyclopaedia of Everything Nasty_. It was the *star* of my 3rd grade class library along with the Guiness Book of Records. But along the gross line for kids – there is a great website your kids may enjoy… http://yucky.discovery.com
I sure hope that the exhibit is a traveling one – I’d love to take my critters to it!
