I’ve done this t-shirt bag project with lots of new/young sewers, and it’s always a hit. Loosely based on this tutorial from Martha Stewart, the bag comes together easily and quickly, leaving plenty of time for some creative freezer paper stenciling.
For added technique and vocabulary, I suggest a adding nice boxed corners & making french seam on the bottom of the bag for added strength.
*Note: The “T-shirt Refashion camp” series will cover the projects I did with a cute group of 8-11 year old girls this past summer, but the projects are great for begging sewers/refashioners of any age.

I love this! You have such great ideas!
Please stop by and see my blog. After reading your posts for a long time I have started one of my own. I hope that one day it is as nice as yours!
