Who doesn’t love homemade bread (especially with homemade strawberry jam via KathiD)? But, the reality of all that mixing and kneading and rising and punching and rising again just doesn’t fit in with my life.
When I saw an ad for a book called Healthy Bread in 5 Minutes, I was immediately intrigued. Before buying the book, I tested their technique for the “basic loaf” in their online video (recipe can also be downloaded here). I was immediately sold. It was really THAT easy and the bread was really THAT good (and it’s even gotten better with practice). Now, homemade bread, fresh from the oven, is a regular part of life.

Ooo, thank you for posting that!! I watched the video and am totally sold. My husband and I have tried quite a few recipes lately, trying to find something that worked for us taste-wise and fit into our schedule, but with no luck. I will try that basic recipe this week!
OOh – I am intrigued! (Did I spell that right?)
I have been LOVING this book for over a year. My life will forever be changed. i have the first one though. would love to try this new healthy style. would love to hear your thoughts on the whole wheat loafs. are they heavy? do they raise as lovely as the white boule do?
Thank you for trying the bread, your loaf is gorgeous! 🙂
Happy Baking! Zoë
Ohh, we are so doing this post Thanksgiving!
Mmmmm, looks terrific! I have a book about making “5-minute” bread, and I think I might need to get this one, too!
Your loaf looks every bit as wonderful as the one on the cover!
