We owe it all to the Strider balance bike. They have revolutionized the way parents teach kids to ride their bikes. Learn balance first then learn to pedal. Brilliant.

Awesome! We started our second one with a balance bike.
Omg, when you first posted about this, I went and researched them out so I could get one for our son. But, then, we had a better idea. My husband sawed the pedals off an old bike we had and my son had his own, hoopty version of a Strider, but I kid you not, two days later he was riding his real bike like a pro! Thanks for the heads up on this genius idea
The pedal-less bikes are amazing. We started our son on a Skoot and he was riding a two-wheeler by the age of 3. He even rode about 8km/day by himself on our bike trip this past summer. They are the way to go for sure.
Great post!
