Hood to Coast 2011: The End

by This is Carrie on September 28, 2011

I think I’ve let the Hood to Coast Relay posts drag out so long becauase I don’t want to admit it’s really over.  It was an amazing experience to run the “mother of all relays” with Nuun. Part of me wants to say it was the chance of a lifetime but the other part sure hopes I’ll get the chance to experience it again.  If I don’t, at least I have this video to remind me of the epic adventure we had.  Kind of makes putting up with an extra person (plus all his camera equipment & longboard skateboard) in our van TOTALLY WORTH IT.

Hey Sharee,
It’s always a juggling act where a few of the balls get dropped everyday. A perfectly balanced life is a myth but it’s always a moving target to work towards. Training is vital for my physical and emotional well being so both my husband and I make sure i find the time. Sewing or other types of creating are also vital to my emotional well being. I am a better mom if I can get in a few hours a week of creating. Very often my kids are with me during training and are by my side playing with their own scraps of fabric and small dress forms when I am sewing.

My kids are also really good nappers. 🙂
