Tri Training: Mind Conditioning

DH and I listened to this guy’s story on our last trip. I think about his first 100 mile race every time I want to cut my training short and am inspired by his amazing endurance.

When I’m in a race I think of his quote, “If it felt good, you didn’t push hard enough. It’s supposed to hurt like hell.”

i remember following his website when I was training for my marathon. He was doing a MARATHON EVERY DAY for 50 consecutive days (in 50 different states). Hahah, after the 50th day, he decided he didn’t want to stop and decided to run from NYC all the way to San Francisco. Dude is crazy!

Carrie, YOU, are the inspiration to all of us. Unfortunately due to medical reasons I’m not allowed to do the wonderful training you’re involved in. ~Shelly~
