Triathlon Report: The Next Race

by This is Carrie on April 2, 2009

I signed up for my second Xterra Sport Triathlon a couple months ago.
I knew even if I hated my first one, I’d want to another so I could do it better.
Well I didn’t hate it and I know I can push myself harder.
Like my sister says – If you don’t throw up at the end, you didn’t try hard enough.

Enjoy! David and I did a triathlon at Lake Las Vegas last summer. It wasn’t xterra though. The resort is amazing. Congrats on a great race and good luck in this one!

Fun! Makes me want to do one. I love the reports, so perfect. Isn’t it so fun to see your family cheering you on….I loved that during my marathon. Cute picture of you hugging little one too. So sweet.

rebecca-very cool. I am trying to convince Todd to do one with me next year. But with plates and pins in both his feet, running is a trial.

nikki- you should totally do one. I’m sure it would be easier than a marathon (and I think way more fun).

I will be moying my way along central walk, slowly, perhaps at times briskly walking a 5K….on the same DAY!

That’s a good thing when you know you can push yourself harder. I always have the problem of wanting to conserve my energy. But hopefully I will be crawling across the finish line of my race.

I guess the Vegas course is hilly. I’m going to sign up for the shorter race and try to really push it. I do the conserving energy thing too…
