Artist Study: Culmination at the Met

by This is Carrie on May 17, 2009

You couldn’t ask for a better ending to a child’s introduction to art history, than a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see the real deal. Lucky for us, a trip to NYC to visit friends was already planned for the end of Spring Break.

That is probably my favorite Van Gogh painting. I want it! How awesome to see all these paintings in person.

I love the night paintings of Van Gogh.

And art is to be taught, i agree. It is learning to look/watch, see and understand. But so is nature, and nowadays i focus with my kids on that topic. But maybe we could combine more. You have me thinking!
