Family Camp Out 2010 Recap: The Food

by This is Carrie on July 24, 2010

One of my favorite parts of our Family Campout is the food which, in itself, has become a tradition.

Sunday dinner of tri-tip and baked potatoes are cooked in a large BBQ pit.  When the meat is finally done and taken to the electric meat slicer by my dad, you can’t help but sneak a taste (and he kind of likes it when you do).

Another favorite: Dutch Oven Peach Berry Cobbler made with fresh fruit from a local farm.

MMM- tritip. we have traditions at my mom’s for food each summer. The kids insist on her stroganoff. I insist on wine. We are all happy.
