These girls have known each other since they were born. And for the year and a half before we left NYC to move back west, our living arrangements made their relationship just about as close as two kids can be without blood relationship.

Although we left NYC when Princess was only 3 years old, Kage and I both realized their bond was a special one. It’s so hard to make new “old friends”, so we try to make sure they stay connected through Skype as well as a school pen pal program, and see each other at least once a year.
Truly great friends are hard to find,

One of the first things they did together once Princess reached NYC was to go back through old picture books and home videos of their time together. Also discussed during the week were plans to room together at college and marry brothers.
