When I saw this project among all the cool & thrifty Halloween party ideas on the Savers website, I knew it would be the perfect Halloween decoration for the empty flower box on our front porch. I also knew it would be a project the girls would find really fun (or totally creep them out, making them have Barbie nightmares for months – either way it’s a win/win in my book).
The girls helped rat the hair of all the thrifted Barbies before I coated them with paint. Then they were dressed and creepified with black Sharpie markers.
Princess even made them headstones. “R.I.P. Freaky Barbie.”

For some strange reason I’m into zombies right now – I think I may have to do this for Halloween
I can see the kids being either really into this or really freaked out by this – I’m going with the latter! Can’t wait to spring this idea on them! Love it!

My seven-year-old recently informed me that she’s done with her Barbies. This looks like the perfect send-off for them. Soo fun!

My sister was always very into Barbies. I’m thinking the flowerbed by her front door may have a Halloween surprise in it when she wakes up on October 31st. I just need to get my hands on some discarded Barbies!

I’m trying to create a make-mummy/zombie booth for our halloween booth at the school halloween party and I’m getting warnings that some parents/principal might nix it. How do I get around this?
I promised I would get all human plastic toys….so that boys are “defaced” too.
Help me with an argument!

Oh! I am almost regretting giving away 20 Barbies to the local YMCA daycare. Trying to remind myself of the warm fuzzies that gave me to make the donation, but darnit, I want to make a Barbie zombie garden now! Such a great idea.

They’re so cool! I think they need to go make a new horror movie called “Barbie Zombie Garden”. LOL
I believe it is going to be rated R with strong violence throughout and gory, language, nudity and strong sexual content. Ha ha ha!
