Making Stuff: Crocheted Granny Skull Cap

by This is Carrie on November 2, 2010

Instead of buying something to donate to the Kindergarten “Baby” themed auction basket, I decided to make something.

This little crocheted skull cap came together really quickly while the kids ran around the cul de sac and I sat outside enjoying a perfect Southern California fall afternoon.

Hat Pattern: Granny Skull Cap from Luv2Crochet.com (free)

Flower Pattern: from Crocheted Flowers by Nicky Epstein

That flower baby hat is so sweet. It makes me want to take crochet lessons. I can do a few stiches, but can’t read the patterns. i just wing it when I make stuff. Your blog is excellent, very inspirational. thanks!

I just got the flower book. Which flower did you use? I didn’t see any that looked like this. Thanks

I wish I could tell you! My girlfriend bought the book and brought it over one day and we crocheted a bunch of flowers. Hopefully you find one that works!

Lynn-

I bought the book as well. I browsed through it and the flower that most resembles this picture is the beaded irish rose on page 52-53. Obviously the beads were left out. I hope this helps.
