We kicked off summer this year with a trip to a “new to us beach” which quickly became a new favorite.
With all the necessary gear, sometimes a trip to the beach with four kids can get overwhelming but on this particular trip, I decided to try a minimalist approach. I brought:
3 towels, sunscreen, a water bottle, & diaper/wipes for the baby. No food, no sand toys, no change of clothes.
I told them I’d know it was time to head home once they got hungry, cold or bored.
And guess what, we spent the most wonderful four hours at the beach that day and I learned successful trips with the kids don’t always have to be so complicated.
